In this group project we developed a lamp as a more environmentally friendly alternative to a standard desktop lamp. This lamp is multi-functional and can be used as much as a decorative lighting as a desktop lamp.
We did research on an existing desktop lamp by taking the whole thing apart and analysing all of its components. In the new lamp we made sure to include as few different materials as possible and to make it easy to separate the different components. Our aim was to make it easier for the user to replace parts that might have been damaged, and to recycle these parts of the lamp in a correct way.
