In this group project, we were asked to improve the web calendar of Gothenburg Opera.
The use case we worked with was that the user was not looking for a specific performance, but rather wanted to buy tickets to any performance on a specific date.
We started by identifying elements that were problematic from a usability perspective and found two things that we wanted to improve: the ability to select a specific day is hidden until the user selects the month, and when a date is selected, all other options disappear.
In the new version of the page, we kept the infinite scrolling and added all filtering options to a fixed menu on the left side. When a date is selected from the menu, the page scrolls down to that day and the user can still see what performances are scheduled for the days before and after the selected day.
